Matted/Pelted/Tangled/Impacted Pets
If your pet arrives with excessive matting/impacting/tangles/pelting, we will not offer dematting services. In most cases, such conditions require complete shaving which takes additional time and extra care to avoid further injury/irritation. If you cannot get a comb thru the coat, down to the skin, chances are, we won't be able to do so either. Double coated breeds are no exception to this policy and will reguire shaving. We will cover after care instructions for you to ensure your pet's coat grows back properly and is healthy to avoid future shaving.
GROOMING APPOINTMENT CANCELLATIONS & NO-CALL/NO-SHOWS
24 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY: IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT PLEASE DO SO 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF YOUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TO AVOID THE CANCELLATION FEE. A $35 APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION FEE WILL BE CHARGED TO THE CREDIT CARD ON FILE OR BILLED TO YOU.
BOARDING CANCELLATIONS & NO-CALL/NO-SHOWS
We ask that if you must cancel your boarding reservation, you provide 48 hours notice to avoid HALF of the total boarding stay charge.
Due to our program being a small capacity resort, in order to cater to your pet's every need, we book up quickly and run into cases where we have to turn away guests due to meeting capacity.
If you schedule to drop off within the 48 Hour Notice period, we require notice of cancellation by 8am the day before drop off to void the fee.
CLOSE OF BUSINESS LATE PICK UP FEES
We respect your time and hope that our clients respect our time in return. Our hours are Monday-Friday 7am-6pm. Any pet left after hours will be charged a $30 After Hours Fee in addition to the overnight boarding fee if the pet remains at the resort should owner not be able to pick up in a timely manner.
YOUR PET IS A SUPER STAR
Bark Avenue Pet Salon & Resort reserves all rights to obtain before, during, and after photos and/or videos of each groom and photos/video of pets in our care. These photos are simply used as a positive way to promote our business. Bark Avenue will never share private details regarding you or your pet's information.
FACILITY TOURS
Tours of our facility are by appointment only however we do not offer tours during business hours while we have free roam dogs in designated areas due to security, liability, and safety concerns. Strangers entering staff only areas presents disruption to grooming, doggie daycamp, and training sessions. We hope our human guests understand that our precautions are not only set in place to protect the integrity of our business but to prevent a liability for you and your pet. If you would like to schedule a tou and/or video tour, we are more than happy to do so as time allows!
EXPRESS(Rush) GROOMING
Bark Avenue is happy to arrange express grooming appointments where your pet is first in, first out however we encourage you to request this option at the time of scheduling your pet's grooming appointment as same day requests may not be an option. Cancellations due to lack of proper scheduling will be charged the late cancellation fee.
VACCINATIONS
BARK AVENUE PET SALON & RESORT REQUIRES FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR STAFF AND THE OTHER PETS IN OUR CARE, PETS TO BE UP TO DATE ON VACCINATIONS. WE PREFER THEM TO BE EMAILED BEFORE YOUR 1ST VISIT WITH US>barkavenuelaramie@gmail.com.
Bark Avenue Pet Salon & Resort requires for the safety of our staff and other guests in our care, pets are to be up to date on vaccinations. Please have vaccinations emailed to barkavenuelaramie@gmail.com or upload them onto the Paw Partner Portal.
Dog Vaccination Required: RABIES, DHPP. BORDATELLA(HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
Cat Vaccinations Required: RABIES, FVRCP
ARRIVAL FOR GROOMING AT BARK AVENUE
We ask that you arrive a few minutes early to allow your dog to "take care of business" before entering the facility.
Please be conscientious of the groomer's time and be on time for your appointment. If you are more then 20 minutes late for your appointment you will be asked to reschedule and a $35 cancellation may apply.
All dogs must be leashed and remain leashed and under owners control while in the lobby.
Cats must be in carriers for the safety of the cat while in our lobby.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES DURING GROOMING
FLEAS/TICKS/LICE: Please let us know at the time of scheduling if your pet is known to have external parasites present as we do not want to risk those parasites migrating to other pets in our care. A special appointment will need to be made to care for these pets after they have been provided the appropriate medications from your vet to exterminate the parasite's prior to us grooming your pet. Pets who are discovered to have external parasites may be sent home immediately, grooming charges up to that point in addition to a Parasite charge of $25 applies.
DEMATTING/MATTED: If your pet enters with matting/pelting/tangling that cannot be humanely brushed out/detangled, we would be happy to spot shave those areas as long as your pet is not excessively matted over it's entire body.
Dogs that are pelted will be humanely shaved if we cannot remove the excess coat safely. Please be advised that if you are not able to get a comb down to the skin, we may not be able to either. We are happy to discuss options with you and help create a plan for home care with the appropriate tools and maintenance suggestions.
HANDLING: Some pets may require extra time and/or extra hands due to old age, handicap, medical conditions, temperament, etc., Handling fees may apply should the groom take longer than usual due to the above conditions.
